COUNTY AERIAL IMAGES AND MDC MANAGEMENT AREAS

Aerial images and Conservation Areas allowing you to view Conservation Area boundaries over aerial photography. This link allows you to visit interactive statewide site designed to help you locate and identify Conservation Areas. This site contains tools that allow you to zoom in and out, query and measure features. Use the HELP button on the site to see brief instructions about the tools. The HELP button is located below the tool buttons on the left-hand side of the display.

CONSERVATION ATLAS

The following link will take you to a statewide map that allows you to obtain information contained in the Conservation Atlas. This link is a path to Conservation Atlas information. It provides a link to general area information, specific area regulations and area maps. Begin by selecting a county from the drop-down menu on the right side of the viewer. Or use the zoom in tool to zoom into a county. Click on the hyperlink tool (lighting bolt, 1st column 4th down). Place cursor over red Conservation Area Star and click left mouse button. Another window will open with either general area information, specific area regulations or an area map depending upon which layer is active. Click the active option next to the layer name to make it the layer active. These instructions are also on the right-hand side of the map display area.

FISHING, HUNTING OR RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES SEARCH

The following link provides an activities search button that will search for specified fishing, hunting and recreational activities Use this link, Activities Search to identify Conservation Areas that provide specific opportunties such as deer hunting, crappie fishing or hiking.

The following link is an application that allows you to query our database of state and federally endangered species Species of Concern. This link is designed to provide information to federal, state and local agencies, corporations and consultants about federally threatened and endangered species, migratory birds, anadromous fishes and their habitats. The information provided in this applications should benefit the planning process to design, locate and evaluate proposed projects so that environmental impacts may be avoided or reduced in order to help conserve natural resources.

ATLAS OF MISSOURI ECOREGIONS

The following link allows you to download compressed files that contain specific chapters of the Atlas of Missouri Ecoregions. The purpose of the atlas is to provide maps and descriptions of the four ecological sections and thirty-one subsections and two hundred and sixty-four landtype associations in Missouri. There is also a option to download a compressed file of the complete book.
